APU Exhaust Ducts

APU exhaust duct made from nickel alloy 625. Bulge-formed and hydro-formed details are welded and riveted together to produce an assembly 11.5" in diameter and 55" long. This exhaust duct incorporates a series of longitudinally baffled chambers for sound attenuation.

Exotic Metals manufactures APU exhaust ducts for several commercial aircraft types. These large nickel alloy parts can be as large as 18" in diameter. For some components, Exotic designed and qualification tested the parts. APU exhaust ducting is available in both acoustic and non-acoustic configurations. Metallic insulation is utilized in the assembly to minimize heat transfer.
